Baby your joints with Cooling Aloe-mint Gel!

Whether your joints are irritated or swollen from overuse, underuse, heat or humidity, this DIY gel can help! Aloe’s natural plant steroids reduce inflammati­on, explains Cox, while “the cool burst of menthol in peppermint helps dull aches!”

❏ 1/2 cup pure aloe vera gel ❏ 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch ❏ 1 Tbs. witch hazel ❏ 3-4 drops peppermint essential oil

✤ Add aloe, cornstarch and witch hazel to microwave-safe bowl; mix well. Microwave on high for 15-30 seconds, or until aloe is melted to the consistenc­y of honey; let cool. Stir in peppermint essential oil and transfer to lidded glass jar. As needed, massage a dollop of gel onto sore joints until fully absorbed.
