Woman's World

7 Days of Inspiration

When Woman’s World reader, Shawna Garrison, of Owasso, Oklahoma, asked the angels to send a sign from her mother, they answered with a double rainbow! She writes:

-

My mother always saw the beauty in life. When I was young, she would point out the various shades of a beautiful sunrise or sunset, and the glorious colors found in a rainbow. “Rainbows are a promise of good things to come,” she’d say.

When Mom passed away a little over a year ago, I was devastated. True to her nature, during her long illness, she never complained and remained strong in her faith.

Before she passed, I asked Mom to send me a sign to let me know she was happy and safe. “What do you want me to send you? she asked.

“Just something that I know is from you,” I sobbed.

“When I saw the rainbow, it was like a hug from Mom!” Shawna says

“I’ll ask the angels to send you something beautiful,” Mom smiled, squeezing my hand.

The day after she passed, I received a text from my sister, with a photo she had just taken of a beautiful double rainbow—right over our mom’s house. Tears fi lled my eyes.

We both knew that this was our sign from the angels that mom was happy and had found her treasure on the other side.

A few days after her funeral, on a stormy day, I went to visit our family at my sister’s house. We spent most of the day talking about how much we all missed Mom. After the storm passed, my husband and I got in the car to head home. It had been an emotional day, and I was feeling very sad. “I wish Mom would send me another sign just to let me know that she’s still with me,” I told my husband.

Just then, we pulled onto the highway and there it was: the most beautiful, double rainbow, perfectly arched over the road! I knew the angels had come through for me once more, and I felt a pleasant warmth come over me.

My husband stopped the car so I could take a picture. With tears streaming from my eyes, I immediately sent the photo to all of my family. It was like a hug from Mom and the angels.

“The angels are defi - nitely letting Shawna know that her mother is happily in Heaven!” says Doreen Virtue, PH.D. “How beautiful that the angels sent not just one, but two rainbows to Shawna! I feel that one of the rainbows was for Shawna, and the other one for her sister.

“The angels often send us Heavenly signs based upon our loved one’s favorite bird, song, activity, etc. Given that Shawna and her mother shared the appreciation of colorful rainbows while her mother was living, it makes perfect sense that the angels would send a rainbow as her sign.

“And her mom was right: rainbows are a promise of good things to come. They remind us that beautiful things often follow the darkest storms.

“The angels say: ‘ Trust the many signs we send your way, as they are our Heavenly way of comforting your heart, and bringing you trustworthy guidance.’ ”

Angels watch over us every moment of every day, and can miraculously help us when we are in danger
