Disney’s animated film The Hunchback of

Notre Dame was released in 1996. Like most Disney films, animators paid homage to previous films throughout the movie: If you look closely during one of the opening songs, you can see Belle from Beauty and the Beast walking down the street, as well as a man shaking out the magic carpet from Aladdin!

The first Ferris wheel opened at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. Over the next 19 weeks, more than 1.4 million people came for a 20-minute ride aboard the 264-foot-tall marvel, which, at its tippytop, provided dizzying views stretching 20 miles in all directions!

The first major exhibition of artwork by Pablo

Picasso opened in Paris in 1901. While he’s considered one of the mostinflue­ntial artists of all time, few people know his full name: Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y Picasso!

The first Dairy Queen opened in Joliet, Illinois, in 1940. The ice cream chain, which now has more than 5,700 stores worldwide, boasts an impressive list of celebritie­s who once worked there, including Bonnie Hunt, Gwen Stefani and Martina Mcbride!

Actor Chris Pratt was born in Minnesota, in 1979. Before making it big in films like Guardians of

the Galaxy, Pratt lived in his van in Hawaii and worked as a waiter at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., which is where he was discovered!
