Double- Cheese Sausage Pizza
A shot of hot sauce kicks up the heat in this indulgent meaty pizza that’s sure to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites
8 oz. Italian sausage, casings removed, crumbled
1 (15–16 oz.) pkg. refrigerated pizza dough, at room temp.
3⁄ cup pizza sauce 4
1 Tbs. Frank’s Redhot sauce
3⁄ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4 3⁄ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
4 1–2 scallions, sliced
1 tsp. chopped fresh oregano, optional
Heat oven to 450°F. Coat 17"x111⁄ 2" rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sausage; cook, stirring, occasionally, until no longer pink. Drain on paper towels.
On lightly floured surface, roll out dough into 18"x11" rectangle. Transfer to baking sheet. Combine pizza and Redhot sauces; spread over dough. Top with half of each cheese, then sausage. Top with remaining cheeses. Fold 1⁄ 2" of dough edge over filling. Bake 12–15 min. or until crust is baked through and browned. Sprinkle with scallions and, if desired, oregano.
