“I’m finally free of neck pain!”

- — Gina Roberts- Grey

Doctors said increasingly stronger pain medication was Suzie Walker’s only hope of ever living a normal life, but then her son suggested a remedy she never would have thought of tr ying— and it turned out to be her miracle cure

Driving home from the grocery store, Suzie Walker prayed, Please, let the intersection be clear. Intense neck pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis and spondylitis, a chronic inf lammatory condition that usually affects the spine, made it impossible for Suzie to turn her head from side to side to look for other cars.

Suzie had lived with joint stiffness and pain for years, but in 2017, her pain grew excruciating. Not even prescription pain pills provided relief.

Her rheumatologist sent Suzie to a physical therapist for massage and dry needling, treatment similar to acupuncture using a thin needle to stimulate muscle function at certain trigger points of the spine, but her pain and stiffness always returned within a day or two of treatment. And three rounds of cortisone injections in her neck produced little more than a hefty bill. The doctors echoed each other’s suggestion that stronger pain meds were Suzie’s last option, but she feared side effects. Then, one day in the summer of 2019, Suzie’s son suggested she try CBD. “I’m not using marijuana!” she proclaimed, but he urged her to research it. When she did, Suzie learned that CBD isn’t marijuana—it is a chemical found in the cannabis plant that doesn’t contain THC, the ingredient that causes a person to become high. CBD has also been proven to work as a powerful anti-inf lammatory, antioxidant and analgesic. Can’t hurt to try! Suzie thought.

A surprising remedy

Suzie ordered a bottle of Blue Sky CBD Original Oil, which does not contain THC ($87.50 for a one-month supply at www.bluesky-cbd.com) and started taking one 50mg dose in both the morning and evening.

After just three days, Suzie was surprised how much her neck pain had lessened. However, a skeptic at heart, she couldn’t help wondering if it was just a coincidence or maybe due to a change in the barometric pressure. But after one week, her ability to move her head and her pain improved so dramatically that Suzie was convinced she’d found her miracle cure.

Three years later, the 79-year-old is still pain-free and is back to feeling safe and confident behind the wheel of her car. She even enjoys riding her ATV and snowmobile. “I’m able to do all the things I love, and I no longer have to live with pain pills or high doctor bills,” Suzie says. “I was so surprised and delighted that CBD works.

I f inally have my life back!”
