Leo Savoie Elementary’s principal takes top honor
WOONSOCKET — The Rhode Island Association of School Principals (RIASP) has announced that Donna Coderre, principal of Leo Savoie Elementary School, has been named as the 2017 Elementary School Principal of the Year.
The award recognizes elementary school principals who have demonstrated a positive impact on their students and the learning community. Among other things, the winner must demonstrate that he or she has had a positive impact on children, employed creativity and imagination in the workplace and “a willingness to take risks to improve student learning,” RIASP says.
