CUMBERLAND – Teens in grades 612 have lot of great activities to choose from at the Cumberland Public Library this summer. The last week of June includes events for teen musicians, artists, and lovers of fantasy fiction:

On Tuesday, June 27 at 6 p.m. the librarty is hosting its third Teen Open Mic of the year. Teen singers, writers, musicians, comedians, and other talents can share their work or just come as the audience to enjoy the show and some snacks.

On Thursday, June 29 at 2 p.m., the library’s teen group is meeting at Tucker Field by Cumberland High School for a “Good Fences Art Activity.” Use colorful yarn to create beautiful artwork on the fences there to spruce up the field for Fourth of July festivities and take “Pride in Cumberland.” Rain date TBA.

On Friday, June 30 at 2 p.m., fans of Lord of the Rings, King Arthur, or Renn Faire enthusiasts are invited to “World of the Warrior,” where they can take on challenges that lead to the path of knighthood. Jousting, fencing, feats of bravery, and more will be explored.
