Book Buddies at Cumberland Library

CUMBERLAND — Book Buddies returns for the summer at the Cumberland Public Library.

This fun program will pair teen volunteers with children ages 4 to 10 who would like to practice reading to someone or who would like to be read to. It all takes place in the Children’s Program Room with the children’s and teen librarians. After reading time there will be literacy games and activities to explore together. Book Buddies takes place every Thursday, through Aug. 10, from 2 to 3 p.m. Come for one session, or come for them all.

Registration is required and space is limitcumberlandlibrary.org, ed. Register online at or in person at the Children’s Desk. Adults are asked to stay in the building during this program.
