Jewelry label Aureum Collective is launching into eyewear and leather goods.

The roughly four-year-old brand launched by Cass DiMicco and Matthew Hoyle will debut the new categories on Thursday with a collection that infuses Aureum's timeless aesthetic with handmade, quality materials sourced and manufactured in Italy.

“Ever since the inception of the brand, the ethos behind it has been ‘dress quietly and let your accessories do the talking,'” DiMicco said on the expansion. “I started to develop more of a simplistic capsule wardrobe and I really thought accessories made a big difference in completing your look by adding more interest to show your personality more because they're just a smaller touch that really completes the look.”

For the collections, the brand leveraged its expertise in jewelry and brought over signature design codes. Many styles include subtle gold accents, including Aureum's melted ring logo, that gave a nod to their popular jewelry styles. For the leather goods category, the brand is starting off with a collection of belts.

The founders also stayed true to their commitment of creating high-quality products by going through multiple rounds of testing with their Italian factories and using resources like 24-karat plated gold, which Aureum also uses in its jewelry. Prices for the eyewear range from $295 to $350, while prices for the leather belts range from $150 to $450.

“We really wanted everything to lead with the design instead of leading with a logo,” DiMicco said. “We added our little logo just on the tips of the eyeglasses, so when they're actually on, you don't even see the little melted circle, but if you take them off or they're on the table, you can easily say those are Aureum. I think it really plays into this aesthetic of our style that everything is very intentional, but timeless and still interesting and has these unique elements that I feel like people will still really recognize is Aureum.”

DiMicco explained the brand aims to further develop both new categories alongside its jewelry collection to have all three categories remain core elements of the brand. Aureum Collective also has plans to enter other accessories categories in the near future to further its goal of becoming a go-to accessories brand.

“We almost started calling ourselves an accessories house,” DiMicco said. “It was a phrase we used because we want people to think, 'I really need a cool accessory,' and think of our brand immediately.”
