Was There a Football Game Tonight?
The rest of the U. S. might’ve been watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, but for the NYFW crowd, it was parties as usual.
One wouldn’t have known there was anything else going on Sunday inside Jac's on Bond, where technical knitwear brand Dodiee was throwing a cocktail party.
A Super Bowl Sunday fashion week bash has inadvertently become something of a Dodiee tradition, given the one-and-ahalf-year-old brand has now hosted two, designer Elisa Dahan recalled.
Guests at Jac's on Bond included Ava Phillippe, daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, who is quickly becoming a fashion week regular; models Daria Strokous, Alexina Graham, Ajani Russell, Anita Jane, Alana Zimmer, Jessie Li, Keke Lindgard, Lauren Searle, Madhulika Sharma, Palak Gupta, Pania Rose and Veronica Webb; stylists Solange Franklin and Alexis Badiyi, and actresses including “Halston” star Krysta Rodriguez and “Gossip Girl” actress Anna Van Patten. Other attendees included Eny Lee Parker, Maayan Zilberman, Noot Seear, Racquel Chevremont, Tara Thomas and Woldy Reyes. The night was cohosted by former Vogue writer Liana Satenstein, who conducted video interviews for the brand in a corner.
Dodiee, which Dahan named after her mother, combines knitwear and shapewear using patent-pending technology to create form-sculpting sumptuous knits, which were worn by many of the night's guests.
Kiwi-topped cocktails were served as “Stacy's Mom” played overhead in the private back room, though models couldn't resist dipping out into the main bar space where the pool table sits and indulging in a game (or a photo-op moment, at least).
After making his New York Fashion Week debut, Paris-based designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin headed over to a New York nightlife staple — the Boom Boom Room — for an after party.
Guests included musician Kelela, makeup artist Patrick Ta, influencers Bretman Rock and Rickey Thompson, designer Prabal Gurung, model Devon Lee Carlson and stylist Tina Leung. Honey Balenciaga, Denzel Dion, Aliyah Bah, Aquaria, Gottmik, Sydney Lynn Carlson, Pierce Abernathy, Mirage, Miles Greenberg, Drumaq, Deon
Hinton, Paige Reifler, Delaney Rowe, Zsela, Xunami Muse, Juliana Huxtable, Luca Mornet, Sarah Lugor, Clara Perlmutter, Griffin Maxwell Brooks, Antoni Bumba and Teddy Quinlivan were also in attendance.
DJing in the legendary space — these days technically called Boom at The Stand, High Line — were Juliana Huxtable, X3butterfly, River Moon, Fashion and Katie Rex, who kept the post-Super Bowl crowd (not that much of the crowd had been home watching) going until early in the hours on Monday.
