Ray-Ban has tapped legendary musician and style icon Lenny Kravitz for a special Ray-Ban Reverse collection.

“As a lifelong fan of Ray-Ban, their timeless style has always resonated with me," Kravitz said. "The Ray-Ban Reverse collaboration is a dream come true, allowing me to merge my love for music and fashion with such an iconic brand. It's about breaking boundaries, embracing individuality and seeing the world from a new perspective through those innovative lenses."

Launched last year, the Reverse collection features an inverted lens design — an industry first — shifting from a traditional convex lens to a concave lens. The Ray-Ban x Lenny Kravitz capsule collection is the first collaboration under the Reverse line and merges the brand's iconic shapes with Kravitz's legendary persona in three styles: a Black Aviator Reverse, Chrome Aviator Reverse and a limited-edition gold-plated Aviator Reverse.

As a musician, Kravitz has transcended genre and style over the course of a three decade-plus career. A writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he has won four Grammy Awards with a sound that lives in the soul, rock and funk influences of the 1960s and '70s. He was recently honored with the Music Icon Award at the 2024

People's Choice Awards and was also nominated as a 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. He will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024 and was additionally recognized by the CFDA with its Fashion Icon Award for his role style. His 12th studio album, "Blue Electric Light," will debut May 24 and Kravitz highlights the eyewear partnership by wearing the capsule collection in his newest single video, “Human.”

"Our key values at Ray-Ban are authenticity, iconicity, being timeless and courageous," explained Dan Alder, global vice president of marketing. "Tapping someone like Lenny Kravitz to be our first global ambassador felt like fate because he truly embodies these values. He's award-winning, broken many boundaries, established himself outside of his music and has a true creative heart with no limits. Together we knew this was the ultimate synergy.”

The collection utilizes a variety of alternative materials such as bio-nylon lenses with 41 percent bio-based carbon content, bio-acetate frames with 67 percent bio-based carbon content and 100 percent recycled polyester cleansing cloth and packaging. Finished with a high-performance anti-glare treatment, according to the brand, the lens is primed to reduce up to 70 percent of the reflections at wavelengths at which the eye is most sensitive.

The Ray-Ban x Lenny Kravitz capsule collection debuted March 14 at all Ray-Ban Stores and Ray-Ban.com. All owned and operated EssilorLuxottica wholesale channels will launch the collection on

April 2. The Ray-Ban Reverse standard collection starts at $193. The Ray-Ban x Lenny Kravitz capsule collection starts at $238 for the Black Aviator Reverse, $263 for the Chrome Aviator Reverse and $554 for the limited- edition gold-plated Aviator Reverse.
