the 1950s—not dissimilar to the dining chairs aboard designed by Rémi Tessier.

Whenever we went touring, we delighted in returning to our personal gallery and a discussion of the day’s viewing. We enjoyed the fne art of the Grace E lifestyle, which included impeccable service from the yacht’s 20 crewmembers. After exploring Copenhagen, we motored 25 miles north to Humlebaek and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, created in 1958 by Knud Jensen. Americans wonder if the name has anything to do with our Southern state. It does not. The museum was established on the former land of Alexander Brun, the 1800s property owner who had married three women, all named Louise. Peeking from in Grace E is the handiwork of two disparate, inspired French designers and an equally innovative italian shipyard blending their sense, senses and sensibilities with receptive owners, who have a discerning eye for beauty and a penchant for collecting art in all forms, big and small. add the rhythm and fow of life aboard, and it is no mystery that Grace E is a foating experiential museum.

Built by picchiotti under the perini navi Group umbrella, Grace E is the largest and most complex motoryacht the yard has ever delivered. it is no surprise that she made a high-impact debut at the Monaco Yacht show in 2014, garnering the Best interior design award. just as jeff Koons, richard serra, richard prince and santiago Calatrava have changed the art market, this yacht will no doubt be encouraging changes in the yacht market. —J.B. between a Henry Moore sculpture at one end and an Alexander Calder at another, we could glimpse Grace E anchored out—art framing art.

An overnight passage took us to Aarhus, on the mainland of Jutland. Our goal there was to see the old and the new: Den Gamle By, a recreated old town, with half- timber and thatchedroof houses from Denmark’ s various historic periods. Also here is ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum, an art museum with installations of international modern and conceptual artists. The pièce de résistance is the panorama rainbow created by Studio Olafur Eliasson on top of the museum. It is a 490- foot- long, 10- footwide circular glass walkway in all the colors of the spectrum.
