Dana Jinkins maJoreD in photography in college, then went off to the caribbean for an aDventure anD enDeD up working on yachts. after exposure to an extensive yacht refit, she DeciDeD to capture it on film, marking the marriage of her two loves, photography anD yachting.

“these photos were the inspiration for my first book, ‘classic yacht interiors,’ in 1980,” says Jinkins. “magazines weren’t showing interiors then, so i really starteD a trenD when

magazine wanteD to excerpt the book.

“twenty-five years anD 18 books later, i still love hanging out of a helicopter or climbing up the mast for a gooD view in a race. i still am fascinateD by innovations in Design anD feel very lucky to get to go below for a look in a worlD many others only Dream about.”
