The International Sea Keepers Society hosted Bal de la Mer 2016 to recognize Sea Keepers’ founding member and yachting community pioneer Alexander W. Dreyfoos for his commitment to preserving the planet’s oceans.

Dinner Chairs Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III and Paula Zimbalist hosted more than 180 guests for an evening at the Sailfish Club of Florida. World-renowned aquanaut and 2015 Bal de la Mer awardee Fabien Cousteau presented the 2016 award.

Dreyfoos is chairman and owner of private capital management firm The Dreyfoos Group. An MIT and Harvard Business School graduate, he is known for developing electronic equipment for the photography industry, and he received an Oscar for his contributions to the motion picture industry.

An active supporter of the International Sea Keepers Society, Yachts international was a media sponsor for the event.
