PALUMBO GROUP TO REINSTATE MONDOMARINE WORKERS

The Italian shipyard Palumbo Group has taken ownership of the former Mondomarine facility in Savona, Italy, on an initial six-month lease. The Mondomarine shipyard underwent bankruptcy liquidation last year; Palumbo Group’s goal is to reinstate a substantial percentage of the workers. All Mondomarine projects were sent to other shipyards for completion, and a new company, Savona Superyachts, will do refits at the site.
