It seems like a whole new world since our last issue. Most of the country has shut down to slow the spread of COVID-19 and has slowly started reopening again. We hope you’ve been staying safe and healthy, and that you’re still enjoying your horse hobby during this time, whether at the barn or at home reading Young Rider.

The big news here is that by the time you get this issue, you’ll be able to access our FREE mini digital issue by going to www. youngrider.com/digital-updates and making sure we have your parents’ email address to send you this special bonus issue! The new mini digital issues are in addition to your regular print subscription, so you’ll always get EXTRA Young Rider.

In the mean time, we hope you’ve found some virtual shows to enter this summer, or at least have some horsey activities at home, like reading and drawing, to lift your spirits if the barn is closed. Our YR Advisory Board tells us what they’re doing to improve their skills and horse knowledge since school let out (pg. 4).
