Police release identity of man killed in motorcyle-SUV collision

Yuma police have released the name of the man who died following a collision Thursday morning involving a motorcycle and a ve- hicle on 32nd Street at Avenue 7E.

Twenty-seven-year-old Phillip White, who was riding a Honda sport bike, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been traveling westbound on 32nd Street at ap- proximately 6:07 a.m. when the collision occurred.

The initial investigation revealed a Jeep Grand Cherokee, heading eastbound, was making a left turn onto Avenue 7E when the accident happened.

A portion of 32nd Street was shut down while the wreck was being investigated.
