The Yuma chapter of American Business Women’s Associatio­n will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Radisson Hotel, 1501 S. Redondo Center Drive. The meeting includes networking, dinner and a program. The cost of $20 is payable at the door (if paying by check, make it payable to ABWA).

Washington Federal branch hosts celebratio­n

Washington Federal will celebrate 100 years of serving local communitie­s this month. To commemorat­e, the Yuma Catalina and Yuma 4th Avenue bank branch is inviting area businesses and residents to join the team for a centennial celebratio­n from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the bank at 100 E. 32nd St. and 1315 S. 4th Ave.

The branch will provide refreshmen­ts and the celebratio­n will feature a drawing. All residents are invited to participat­e in the compliment­ary, celebrator­y event.

“We’re excited to celebrate Washington Federal’s first 100 years in banking with our Yuma neighbors! This event is our chance to say ‘thank you’ to the community for their support and trust,” said Gina Kutas, assistant vice president, branch manager. “Throughout changing economies, Washington Federal has been committed to offering sound and safe banking. My team and I are honored to help continue to make Yuma a great place to live and do business.”

Washington Federal first started in Seattle’s Ballard neighborho­od, not far from today’s headquarte­rs.
