Stephen Parrish was the first flight gross score winner in the Mesa Del Sol tournament last Friday morning, while Tiffany Humer won the first flight net division. David Lee and Bill Slade were the second flight division winners, while Nancy Holmes and Louise Mabey won the third flight.

Selma Cusick won the first flight net division in the Mesa Del Sol Ladies Club play last Thursday morning. Ann Maughan was the second place net winner and Pam Upayokin won third net. Phyllis Mashburn won first place in the second flight, while Gina White and Mary Ann Muldoon tied for second place.

Sue Janney was the gross score winner in the Desert Hills Ladies play on Tuesday morning with Daphne Stone in second place. Sheila Koch won the net division with Karen Gallagher in second place. Gloria Gentry was the winner of all the KPs.

Marilyn Cotter was the first flight winner in the Ladies “Forty Niners” play at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course last Monday morning, while Selma Cusick and Cheryl Mikkola tied for second place. Mary Ann Muldoon won first place in the second flight with Darla Peterson taking second and Phyllis Mashburn taking third.

Tiffany Humer and Pilar Dominguez shot a net score of 34.2 to win first place in the Mesa Del Sol Twilight League play on Tuesday afternoon. Pam Upayokin and Shannon Mason took second place. Third place went to the team of Barb Sanders and Natasha Heredia. The KP on the fifth hole went to Tiffany Humer and the KP on the eighth hole went to Barb Sanders.

In the Mesa Del Sol Men’s Twilight League, Robert Author and Patrick Farrell won the combined net total with a 65. Jerry Crump and Mike Van Allen tied Mitch Lebrecht and Mike Walters for second at 66. Doug Thompson and Chris Corbet are tied for lead in the Spring Season Points race. Next week’s event is a two-man, modified designated driver, net combined total on the front nine. Play begins at 5 p.m.

The next Desert Hills Men’s Golf Associatio­n monthly tournament will be a two-person best ball format and will be played May 13 at Desert Hills Golf Course with tee times starting at 8 a.m. Members may contact Bruce Clark at 5806436 for entry or additional informatio­n.

The Mesa Del Sol 2017 “Big Cup Scramble” will be played May 20 with checkin time set for 7 a.m. There will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Players may contact the pro shot at 928-342-1283 for entry or for informatio­n.

Mesa Del Sol will host a Longest Course Skins Game this Saturday. The course will play at its longest possible length, pins will be difficult and the greens will be fast. Skins will pay both gross and net, along with awards for individual low gross and net and for gross birdies. Tee times begin at 8 a.m. Sign up in the pro shop.
