First Take
I learned Tuesday night that making dinner is not a good idea while also watching the Cleveland Cavs in the playoffs.
The game was an exciting one, and the first half was a stressful one.
Because the family was getting hungry, I decided to set the computer up next to the stove — because basketball and chopping veggies is a terrific game plan — and I got busy. I got everything into the oven safely, but it went downhill from there.
I forgot to start the timer, I burned one of my fingers, and then I neglected to start one of the veggies.
What should have been a quick dinner took forever — not that I noticed, because I was focused on the game. (Sorry, family!)
I am thankful that I made it out of the kitchen with all my limbs intact, and fortunately, the Cavs won.
But tonight for Game 5? Our options are either takeout or leftovers!
