South Phoenix woman fatally stabbed

PHOENIX — A woman was fatally stabbed during what appears to be a domestic violence incident in south Phoenix on Sunday.

Police said they responded to reports of a family fight around 11 a.m. at a home near 43rd Avenue and Baseline Road.

Police found a woman who had been stabbed. She died at a nearby hospital.

The suspect in the stabbing was detained.

Police haven’t identified the suspect or victim.

Suspected home intruder fatally shot

KINGMAN — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office says a suspected home intruder was fatally shot on Saturday after breaking into a home in Kingman and then shocking the homeowner with a stun gun.

The sheriff’s office says the suspect, who has not been identified, broke into the home around 7:30 p.m. and robbed the homeowner.

The suspect used a stun gun on the homeowner several times before the homeowner shot him.

Police have not identified the homeowner but said he has not been charged with any crimes and that the incident is still being investigat­ed.

1 man dead, another injured after shooting at party

TUCSON — A doubleshoo­ting at a party in Tucson early Sunday morning resulted in the death of one man.

Tucson police say they’re investigat­ing a shooting that happened outside a party when several people got in a fight. Police say they were called out around 1:30 to a large gathering near Park Avenue and Silverlake Road.

One man died on-scene. Another was transporte­d to the hospital with non-life threatenin­g injuries.
