From June 4-10, the Yuma Fire Department responded to 257 emergency calls, including: • 7 general fire response Including: A fire set in a trailer park storage shed, and various alarms.

• 1 mutual aid Including: Assisting with a brush

fire in Imperial County. • 18 motor vehicle crashes Including: 2 involving poles, 1 involving a pedestrian, and 1 involving a rollover.

• 206 other medical emergencies (serious to minor)

Including: 26 difficulty breathing, 17 chest pains, 18 falls, 12 unconscious people, 5 seizure cases, 3 possible stroke cases, 7 intoxicated persons, 1 person under the influence of drugs, 6 people with psychiatric problems, 5 heat illness/ dehydration, 7 medical alarms, 1 choking, 16 altered or decreased level of consciousness, 11 diabetic emergencies, 8 man down calls, 2 uncontrolled bleeding, 1 person burned by hot liquid spilled on feet, 2 bad headaches, 4 assaults, 5 back pain, 2 abdominal pain, 1 pregnancy related, 1 deceased person, 2 lacerations, and other illnesses and injuries.

Including: 1 animal rescue (cat locked in a car), 1 snake removal, 3 vehicle fires (including 1 garbage truck, and 1 motor home on I-8), 2 small brush fires (1 started by a discarded cigarette), 1 bee swarm, 2 power transformers smoking/ burning, and various alarms.
