First Take
I was glad to see reader Margaret Hopper take the time recently to write the letter to the Yuma Sun editor praising the friendliness of and good customer services provided by an employee of the Carl’s Jr. on the Big Curve.
I too have gone into that fast food restaurant in the morning, and I’ve gotten excellent, courteous service from the manager.
I don’t want to single out Carl’s Jr., because most hospitality businesses in the Yuma area I visit are attentive. They belie the myth I hear that you can’t get good customer service in Yuma.
I have seen rude hospitality workers, but I’ve also seen rude customers. It’s a two-way street.
Which reminds me of a photo I’ve seen posted on Facebook lately: a coffee shop has a sign saying it charges between $1.25 and $5 for a cup of coffee, depending on how courteous the customer is.
That’s an incentive to say “please.”
