• British Prime Minister Theresa May sent negotiators to Brussels to begin negotiating Britain’s exit from the European Union as approved by voters last year. We’re all flying blind here. The Brexit is the first time the British have broken an agreement with Europe without beheading a Queen.

• The Wall Street Journal reported bond market concerns that Illinois was on the verge of declaring bankruptcy. The money could have gone anywhere. Illinois is the only state where the current governor rides around in a town car bearing license plates made by the previous governor.

• Oklahoma Sooners star Baker Mayfield paid a fine for his February arrest in Arkansas. He was caught on video being drunk, disorderly and fleeing a cop who tackled him. Next spring, Baker Mayfield could be the first college football player to be drafted by both the NFL and the Comedy Store.

• House Members introduced a bill to end the federal ban on pot. There is growing bipartisan support in Congress for legalizing medical marijuana to help relieve arthritis pain. In other words, there is joint support for joint support for joint support.

Don’t call me handsome — I’m as ugly as sin

Don’t call me wealthy — cause I ain’t got a dime

Don’t call me early — I don’t get up till noon

But if you call me — I’ll be there soon.

Don’t call me lonesome — if you’re here by my side

Just call me lucky — that you became my bride

And I’ll be faithful — as faithful as can be

You’ll not be sorry — that you’ve chosen me.

I’ll always hold you — right next to my heart

And I will promise — that we’ll never part

If you should ever — find the one for you

You’d better promise — you’ll always be true.

Then you can live in — bliss and harmony

You’ll be as happy — as my love and me

Don’t call me horny — that’s all in the past

A happy ending — is all that I can ask.

I know between us — we’ll make our marriage last.

My mom worked very hard to come up with the money each semester to pay for the Catholic schools I attended. That was her choice. No one should have to pay for another’s choice.

Public schools must have equal teachers and equal qualifications to provide the equivalent educational system to compete for students.

Nothing is free. Out of pocket if you choose or raise taxes. Take your choice. Don’t expect me to pay for yours.

Is there a GOP supporter, somewhere, that can explain to me why the health care bill should be constructed in secrecy? I thought that I understood they are all for transparency. Guess not. And what does this bill contain that cannot be reviewed by the citizens of America? I think

I read with great interest the multiple articles the Sun published June 18th vigorously defending the financials of the Golf Course Restaurant and Stadium conversion. The City refers to “revenue” but not profit/loss. Revenue means nothing if the costs exceed the “revenue.” According to the City, the Stadium and Restaurant are making money, but the golf course has a $750,000 deficit. Are the losses at the golf course related to the expenses at the stadium? Does the City pay for all the utilities of the golf course? What entity? The golf course? Is not the stadium, restaurant, and golf course all part of the same city complex? The City fails to comment on the losses at the golf course. Are the revenue numbers with catering or without catering? In closing, the City shows positive “revenue” but fails to comment on the losses at the golf course.

With all of the perceived scandals, bureaucratic transgressions, Senators stumbling through committee hearings, endless protests, vacuous threats of impeachment and continued congressional inaction, a single question comes to mind.

What about the future preservation and solvency of the Social Security Trust Fund?
