Daryl Bugarin and John Pflueger posted a Modified Chapman gross score of 75 to win the Desert Hills Men’s monthly tournament July 15 with Mike Richardson and Fernando Campa in second place. John Baas and Steve Schulte were the third-place finishers with Terry Hanson and Mike Covey taking fourth-place gross. Jerry Crump and Jeff Buffmeyer were the net team winners with a net score of 63, while Tal Evanger and Gil Christoffersen took second. The third-place net team winners were Tark Rush and Tommy Middelton. The KP winners were Jerry Crump and Jeff Buffmeyer on the fourth hole, Bill Bort and Ochoa on the eighth hole, Jose Rodriguez and Hank Failla on the 15th hole, and Jerry Crump and Jeff Buffmeyer on the 17th hole.
Garry Sletten posted +3.87 points to win the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course Monday Quota points play with Pam Upayokin in second place with +3.55 points. Third place went to Sue Morgenthaler with +2.13 points, fourth place to Pam Brown with +2.1 points and “Pinky” Raymond Throckmorton won fifth place with +.53 points.
The next Desert Hills Men’s Golf Association Tournament will be a two-person best ball gross and net format and will be played Aug. 19 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Players may contact Bruce Clark at 928 5806436 or the Desert Hills pro shop for entry or additional information.
Randy Weis teamed with Evelyn Pribble, Diana Bird and Andrew Birkenfeld for a Moose Lodge scrambling 1-over-par 37, on Tuesday morning at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course to tie the teams of Neil Knutson, Peggy Quinn, Bob Ewers and Fae Baker, and Frank Domantay Charlie Kline, Bud Hammond and Shirley Patterson.
Sam Samples took first in the Mesa Del Sol “Pinky’s Pick” play on Wednesday morning with Raymond Throckmorton finishing in second. Henry Browning was third and Nancy Holmes was fourth. The skin winners were Phyllis Mashburn, Raymond Butler, Sam Samples, Robert Lauer, Stephen Parrish and Raymond Throckmorton.
Raymond Butler posted a score of 78 to win the gross division of the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course MGA individual medal play tournament on Friday morning. Al Johnson, David Doherty, Bob Rehn and Raymond “Pinky” Throckmorton were the net division winners. The skin winners were Raymond Butler, Robert Lauer, Jack Parker, Stephen Parrish, Al Johnson and Sam Samples.
