Business women meet

The Yuma chapter of American Business Women’s Associatio­n will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Radisson Hotel, 1501 S. Redondo Center Drive. The meeting includes networking, dinner and a program.

The cost of $20 is payable at the door (make checks payable to ABWA).

Home buyers seminar

A free home buyers seminar will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at AEA Federal Credit Union, Conference Center, 1780 S. 1st Ave.

Join home loan experts and real estate profession­als, get updated on new affordable lending programs, tips on purchasing a home and more. The seminar is great for first-time and experience­d home buyers.

Aguirre had previously establishe­d her own law office and also worked as corporate counsel for a behavioral health agency, Arizona Counseling & Treatment Services, a small rural hospital and various nonprofit entities. She earned a bachelors of science from Stephens College and a masters of business from Webster University. She earned her juris doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2001.

Sephora reopening

Employees of Sephora, inside JCPenney, 1375 Yuma Palms Parkway, with members of the Yuma County Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the store’s reopening with a ribbon cutting.
