In Custody
The following fugitives who previously appeared in the Yuma’s Most Wanted column in the Yuma Sun have been arrested and are back in local custody:
• Vanessa Ann Alvarez — originally convicted and sentenced to a term of probation for amended count two: attempted theft, a class 6 felony. She absconded from supervision but was arrested in Imperial County, Calif., and incarcerated in the Imperial County jail on Sept. 1. She will be extradited to the Yuma County jail.
• Jonathan Arzate — originally convicted and sentenced to a term of probation for amended count one, attempted transportation of a dangerous drug, a class 3 felony. He absconded from supervision but was arrested on Sept. 2 and incarcerated in the Yuma County jail.
• Alejandro Bustamante — originally convicted and sentenced to a term of probation for count two: possession of drug paraphernalia involving methamphetamine, a class 6 felony. He absconded from supervision but was arrested on Sept. 2 and incarcerated in the Yuma County jail.
• Rodolfo Quiroz Jimenez — originally convicted and sentenced to a term of probation for amended count one: attempted hindering prosecution in the first degree, a class 6 felony. He absconded from supervision but was arrested on Aug. 31 and incarcerated in the Yuma County jail.
