Kofa volleyball crushes Maryvale

The Kofa volleyball team improved to 13-0 on the season with 25-5, 25-15, 25-2 dominating win over Maryvale on Thursday.

Pam Aguilar had 10 aces and six kills, while Cece Lopez, Jessica Galindo and Keyla Chin also had six kills each. Isabel Ponce added 25 assists.

MORE PREP VOLLEYBALL Cibola 3, Cesar Chavez 1

Mori Gordon (10 kills, 5 blocks), Honor Owens (13 kills), Rylee Lakey (10 kills), Ela Henry (26 digs) and Kamryn Moctezuma (23 digs) led the way for the Raiders, who lost the first set (2025) before winning the next three (25-19, 25-18, 26-24).

Shanna Register (8 kills, 3 aces), Katiana Oviedo (5 kills, 6 aces) and Tayler Ellsworth (4 aces, 6 kills, 13 assists) led the way for the Hawks, who won by set scores of 25-5, 25-10 and 2513.

Yuma Catholic 3, North Pointe Prep 0

Averi Jo Davis (20 passes, 5 kills), Mia Sterenburg (8 kills) and Veronica Saco (10 service points, 8 kills) led the way for the Shamrocks, who won by set scores of 25-14, 25-8 and 2517.

PREP SWIMMING Cibola 294, San Luis 46

The Raiders won all 24 events Thursday against the Sidewinder­s. The boys claimed a 144-23 victory, and the girls won, 150-23.

Sidney Quinn (Girls 200 free, 50 free), Jalen Hernandez (Boys 200 free, 100 fly), Emma Ballos (Girls 50 free, 100 fly) and Brock Jerpseth (Boys 200 IM, 100 free) all won multiple events for Cibola.
