More Araby Road traffic restrictions

With paving and lane striping scheduled at Interstate 8 and Araby Road this week, the Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to plan for the following road restrictions through Thursday:

• The westbound I-8 offramp at Araby Road is closed. Drivers can use Avenue 3E instead.

• The westbound I-8 onramp at Araby Road is scheduled to close for paving and striping between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday.

• One lane of westbound I-8 will be restricted from 7 a.m. to noon Thursday as crews replace light fixtures at the Araby Road on- and off-ramps.

• The on- and off-ramps at Araby Road are scheduled to reopen Friday.

ADOT is maintaining one lane of travel in both directions along Araby Road as crews continue building the roundabout north of I-8. Construction of the new roundabout south of I-8 is scheduled to begin in spring 2018.
