Vegas shootings hard to understand

While we aimlessly search for a motive for the carnage in Las Vegas, we keep asking ourselves what type of monster would do this. What possible motivation would prompt someone to indiscriminately take the lives and maim and injure so many innocent people?

For most folks, it is beyond comprehension. There is no rational explanation for the evil destruction of innocent human life. There are families that will never have their fathers again. There are parents that will forever miss their sons and daughters. There are husbands and wives suffering the loss of their significant other. There is no consolation, only an emptiness that will leave a void the rest of their lives.
