Shop, acupuncturist move to new locations

-

Afew months after buying a shop downtown, Dannette Penny has moved her store to a new location. But she didn’t go too far.

My Go To Girl is still downtown but now it’s upfront and center at 297 S. Main St., across from Da Boyz Italian Cuisine.

The shop used to be down a hallway in the back of a building at 261 S. Main St., so if people didn’t come in through the back, they might have seen Penny’s shop.

The retired teacher now hopes more people come in to check out her shop, which offers new home decor, vintage items and gifts, in all kinds of styles, from farmhouse to rustic and chic.

She’s especially excited to welcome people who attend the many events held downtown.

Penny bought the store from previous owner Debbie Myers after her retirement in July. You can reach her at Mygotogirl2@ gmail.com or 928-783-0635. She’s also very active on Instagram. Find her @ mygotogirl. *** Southwest Integrative Wellness and Acupuncture of Yuma has moved to a new location. The clinic closed its office at 1150 W. 24th St., Suite F, on Oct. 30 and reopened Nov. 2 at 2140 W. 24th St., Suite B, just down the street.

It’s right behind the Sleep Center of Yuma. “Wonderful building, great parking, quiet comfortable rooms and a staff that appreciates your business,” the clinic posted on Facebook.

Since 2007, Southwest Integrative Wellness has worked to “restore hope and healing” in patients with traditional Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, herbs, cupping, massage and more.

Acupuncturist and owner Jennifer Brittenham invites Yuma residents and returning winter visitors to check them out and book their future appointments at (928) 328-1975. *** A reader said she missed the opening of Wheezy’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, 11732 S. Fortuna Road (formerly Parrish Grill and Bar in the Foothills), but she recently noticed the parking lot full and diners are sitting at outdoor tables enjoying food and refreshments.

I wrote about the new restaurant when the owners announced its upcoming opening and meant to let readers know when it finally did open, but it slipped my mind.

Sisters Maria Stefanakos, Helene Stefanakos and Loula Stefanakos took over the space this year
