2 men are seriously injured in motorcycle accident
KINGMAN — Authorities say two Kingman men have been seriously injured in a crash involving four motorcycles.
Kingman police say one of the men suffered lifethreatening head and internal injuries while another man also remains hospitalized in serious condition with internal injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
They say four motorcyclists were travelling as a group Saturday morning in Kingman when a 43-year-old man made a lane change and struck a 59-year-old rider.
A 52-year-old man driving a third motorcycle in the group struck the nonhelmeted first rider, caus- ing him to lose control and crash.
The 29-year-old fourth cyclist also went down while trying to avoid the other crashes. The fourth motorcyclist also wasn’t wearing a helmet but suffered only lacerations.
Woman facing charges after stabbing of boyfriend
PHOENIX — A Phoenix woman is facing charges after police say she repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend in a Phoenix apartment they shared.
Phoenix police say 23-year-old Zynia Chapman attacked her boyfriend just before midnight Saturday. She then cut her own neck, but her injuries were not life-threatening. Police found her the next morning on a freeway overpass.
According to court documents, she detailed a plan to kill her 25-year-old boyfriend and then herself in a journal entry last week.
Lake Havasu City man accused in death of daughter
LAKE HAVASU CITY — Police say a Lake Havasu City man has been arrested in connection with the death of his 2-year-old daughter.
They announced Tuesday that 21-year-old Andrew Lamorie is accused of child abuse per domestic violence, aggravated assault per domestic violence, child neglect, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He’s being held on a $1 million bond in the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
It’s unclear if Lamorie has a lawyer yet.
Police say the child was found not breathing last Thursday.
