Change will happen when people cut the cord

I feel strongly that cutting the cord is a good thing to do. I cut that cord from all TV 20 years ago. Even then, the price of service and the annoyance of more and more invasive advertising, made me not want to watch. At first I would watch my favorite show then turn off the set so I would not be pulled into watching the next and the next. Soon I found I didn’t miss it at all.

Today, I cannot tolerate being around a TV turned to a commercial channel. I subscribe to Netflix and watch movies and TV series that I like, commercial free, and it only costs about $10/month. I read news online and don’t miss the never ending cable news rehashes and “shouting heads.” Change will only happen if enough viewers cut the cord. TOM GILLESPIE Yuma
