Mark France and Erick Stechman posted a gross best ball score of 67 on Friday followed by a Scotch Chapman score of 69 on Saturday and a two best ball score of 148 on Sunday to win first place in the gross division of the Yuma Golf and Country Club Invitation­al Best Ball Tournament. Second place in the gross division went to the team of Gabe Plaza and Rian Baas with a three-day total score of 293. In the net division, Harvey Campbell and Ray Griffin won with a three-day net score of 273.78; Calos Gallegos and Sam Carroll took second place net with a 274.21.

The next Desert Hills Men’s Golf Associatio­n tournament will be a two-man blind draw format and will be played on Saturday with tee times starting at 8 a.m. Members may contact Bruce Clark at 5806436 for entry or additional informatio­n.

The DHLGA is sponsoring a golf tournament at the Desert Hills Golf Course on March 10. The four-person teams may consist of any genders. All 18 holes on the course will be converted to Par 3s for this tournament and there will be a 2 p.m. shotgun start with registrati­on starting at noon. The entry fee is $160 per team if it’s paid before Feb. 28, $200 per team if it’s paid after Feb. 28. Your entry fee includes 18 holes for golf, a cart, KP prizes for the men & ladies and dinner. The dinner is hamburgers or chicken burgers, salad and fries. If more than 20 teams are entered they will also provide music. Players may contact the Desert Hills pro shop for entry or additional informatio­n.

In the Jacob Louis Daily Memorial Scholarshi­p Golf Tournament at Mesa del Sol Golf Course, the team of Mike Blohm, Tyler Mead and Chris Coleman won a scorecard playoff with the team of Ray Face, Asen Asparuhov and Cam Cong. Both teams shot a net score of 59.

Raymond “Pinky” Throckmort­on carried teammates Dave Henager, Leonard Berube and Gordon Little to a first-place finish in the Mesa Del Sol Can/Am play on Monday morning with 77 team pro points. Second place went to Dennis Lund, Norm Dowd, Tony Kossie and a blind draw partner with 77 team points. The Deuce pot winners were Paul Follett, Bill Swanland, Al Johnson, Reg Marshall, Garrett McKeeman, Tom Mozley, Martin Ritchie, Hugh Strain and Matt Whittaker.

Carolyn Tainsh was the first flight winner in the Mesa Del Sol Monday Ladies “Middle Nine” play with Sandy Lee winning second place in the first flight. The second flight winner was Judy Larden followed by MaryAnn Muldoon in second. In the third flight, Phyllis Mashburn was the winner with Sonja Brekkas in second.

Hank Browning was the gross division winner in the Mesa Del Sol “Pinky’s Pick” mixed play on Wednesday morning with Steve Parrish in second and Mike Mikkola in third. Jack Parker won the net division with Pam Herring taking second net. The skin winners were Mike Mikkola, Gerrald Larrabee, Al Johnson, Jack Parker, Pam Herring and Clifford Weber.

Jim Harms, Ron Breault, Bill Griffith and Bert Scott carded 79 pro power points to win first place in the weekly Krogman Follies play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday morning. Second place went to the team of Terry Matthews, Jack Henson, Fred Hancewiez and Ray Starkey with 79 pro power points.

Randy Stickler teamed with Dana Brown, Diana Bird and Shirley Shepley for a scrambling 5-under-par 67 to share first place with the team of Doug Jones, Joyce Martin, Mike Jensen and Jerry Aaron in the Moose Lodge #1627 weekly play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Tuesday morning.

Donna Lalonde won the Desert Hills Ladies President Cup play on Tuesday morning with Judy Hill, Lola Stone, Diane Comeau, Linda Scott, Sharren Weber and Mary Schueler winning the gross and net play. The KP winners were Lola Stone and Bette McGrath.

The gross flight winners for the Mesa Del Sol Ladies “Best 16 and nine” play on Thursday morning were Audrey Dowd, Lynne Barber, Phyllis Mashburn and Muriel Scott (tie). The net flight winners were Carolyn Tainsh, Dorothy Gartner Joyce Martin, Deb Peterson Linda Williams and Ruth Koenig. The skin winners were Audrey Dowd, Dorothy Gartner, Carolyn Tainsh, Joann Sandstede, Deb Williamson, Pam Upayokin, Linda Williams and Joyce Martin.

Dianne Plumb won the Cocopah Ladies Gross Club Championsh­ip and Gina Brown won the President’s Cup championsh­ip, both played on Feb. 19 and Feb. 21. The gross flight winners were Kathy Schmidt, Vicki Strauch, Carol Poirier, Mary Card, Judith Anderson, Gloria Michalenko, Barb Ambrose, Joann Moret Judy Eichman. The net flight winners were Larie Hash, Gwen Failler, Bonnie Barlow, Debbie Niedert, Sharon Duncan, Carmine Wright, Denise Bona, Becky Hazen and Kathy Hawkins.

The first-place team winners in the Mesa Del Sol Men’s Club one ball gross and two balls net play on Friday morning were Ray Butler, Albert Johnson, Bob Rehn and Garry Sletten; in second were Sam Boyd, John Droog, Jim Barber and Bill Griffith. The third-place finishers were Gordon Little, Terry Matthews, Jack Parker and Warren Ohland, with fourth place going to the team of Wayne Webb, Dick Michael, Reg Marshall and Dave Henager.
