Use these ‘tools’ to encourage others

- Rev. Paul Killingsworth

Wisdom will find a way to invest in life. Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest person who lived, said in Proverbs 25:11 and 15:22, “The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry … congenial conversation — what a pleasure! The right word at the right time — beautiful.”

Extending appreciative affirmation provides the potential of creating a pleasant atmosphere.

These expressions provide tools proven to be beneficial:

Wow — Way to go — Super — You’re special — Outstanding — Excellent — Great — Good –—Neat — Well done — I knew you could — I’m proud of you — Fantastic — Super star — Nice work — Looking good — You’re on top of it — Beautiful — Now you’re flying — You’ve got it — You’re catching on — Incredible — Bravo — Amazing — Hurrah — Nice — Smart — Good job — Superb — Hot dog — Dynamite — You’re beautiful — You’re unique — Nothing stops you — Great job — I like you — You’re a winner — Superb work — Beautiful job — Supreme — Spectacular — Delightful — Worthy — Great development — You discovered the secret — You got it — Fantastic job — Hip hip hooray — Bingo — Magnificent.

It is evident there are 50 ways offered here to encourage. An additional 51 “tools” of encouragement will be provided in “Hope That Helps,” March 24.

The Rev. Paul Killingsworth serves as pastor at Yuma First Assembly.
