Frank R. Brown, 85, of Yuma, died March 8, 2018, at Desert Rose. Born June 18, 1932, in Yuma, he was a retired battalion chief for Yuma Fire Department and veteran of the U.S. Air Force. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Desert Lawn, with Father Paul Gambling officiating. Honors by United Yuma Firefighters Honor Guard and Pipes and Drums. Desert Valley Mortuary is handling arrangements.

James Hewison Matheson III

James Hewison Matheson III, 86, of Yuma, died March 6, 2018, in Yuma. Born Oct. 25, 1931, in Reading, Pa., he was a maintenance worker at Yuma Parks and Rec and veteran of the U.S. Navy. No services are planned. Sunset Vista Funeral Home and Cemetery is handling arrangements, including private cremation.

Joseph Horton Jewah

Joseph Horton Jewah, 80, of Yuma, died March 10, 2018, in Yuma.

Born July 17, 1947, in Atlanta, Ga., he was a tour bus driver and veteran of the U.S. Navy.

No services are planned. Sunset Vista Funeral Home and Cemetery is handling arrangements, including private cremation.

Neil Knutson

Neil Knutson, 69, of Yuma, died March 1, 2018, in Yuma.

Born July 16, 1948, in Williston, N.D., he was an oil field construction manager and veteran of the U.S. Navy.
