The Desert Hills Men’s Golf Associatio­n will play their 2018 Men’s Club Championsh­ip on Saturday and Sunday the seventh and eighth of April. The tournament format is individual stroke play with gross and net divisions. Members may contact Bruce Clark at 5806436 for entry or additional informatio­n.

The annual Hospice golf scramble will be played on Friday and Saturday the 13th and 14th of April at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course and the Yuma Golf and Country Club.

The check in putting contest and the pairing party will be at the Country Club on Thursday the 12th of April.

The Matador Athletic Associatio­n annual golf scramble tournament will be played at the Coyote Wash Golf Course in Wellton on Friday the 30th of March with registrati­on at noon followed by a shotgun start at 1pm. The Friday Mixed League Scramble winners at the Fortuna Del Ore Golf Course on the 16th of March were John Myers, Lois Dickey, Carl Lang, and Evelyn Bruetzmann with Gerry Morrow, Ann Nicholls, Jeff VanHaastre­et, and Jackie Kuyper winning second place and Dave Nicholls, Kim Chesnovar, Neil Peters, and Anna Scharfenbe­rg getting third place.

The four gross division flight winners in the Mesa Del Sol Ladies Club “Criers and Skins” play on Thursday, March 15 were Shannon Mason, Marilyn Cotter, Judy Larden, and Muriel Scott. The four net division winners were Joan Webb, Colleen Scott, Lorraine Breault and Linda Williams. The skin winners were Shannon Mason, Pam Upayokin, Joan Webb, Lorraine Breault, Sally Manley, Colleen Scott, Linda Scott, Muriel Scott and Linda Williams.

The Fortuna Del Ore Golf Course Tuesday Men’s league winners were Kevin New, Pete Shaw, Larry Kleinwalte­rink, and Jim Stines with John Savarella, Leonard Apling, Brent Campbell, and Ken Wells winning second place and Kraig Knutson, Verne Reeder, Fred Reed, and Jay Reese took third place.

Dave Sigurdson and Frank Scarfgo teamed with Lorainne and Ron Breault to win the gross division of “Willie’s Couples” play on Sunday afternoon. Darla Peterson and Jamie and Ron Johnson were the winners of the net division.

The Las Barrancas Tuesday mens league, gross winners were John Cullen, Keith Planidin, and Hubert Gartner. The net winners were Larry Kozar, Bill Hodsmyth, and Dennis Adair.

The team winners were Wayne Constantin­off, Mark Parks, Richard Hallack, and Don Ellis.

Gary Young teamed with Ken Turza, Wayne Webb, and Tip Johnson to win first place with 87 team power points in the Can/ Am weekly play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Monday morning. Second place went to the team of Jack Henson, Don Kruse, Gordon Little and wayne Gunion with 84 points. The deuce winners were Gary Young, Wayne Webb, George Shomody, Gordon Little, Dick Michael, Stephen Parrish, Jim Pederson, Glen Rost. Marty Schwab, and Sam Boyd.

Donna Lalonde, Sharren Weber and Mary Schueler carded a net team score of 136 to win the Desert Hills Ladies play on Tuesday morning. Second place went to Lola Stone, Kathy Lauer and Vaieri Shoemaker with a net score of 140. The KP winners were Heather Comeau, Carole Hindle, Judy Hill, and Donna Lalonde. Congratula­tion are extended to Donna Lalonde for being selected as the Most Improved Player of the Year Award.

Dave Henager carried teammates Wayne Gunion Bert Scott and Marty Schwab to a first place finish in the weekly “Krogman Follies” play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday morning. The second place team was Sam Boyd, Norm Berube, Ron Stirler, and Ron Beault. The skin winners on the 15th hole were Jerry Olson, David Burtt, Dennis Powell, and George Chhristoph­er.

In the Wednesday Las Barrancas Golf Course women’s league play the Gross winners were Dorothy Gartner, and Madge Flint. The Net winners were Marga Woltman, and Barb Souter. The team winners were Delphine Rindal, Karen Wilkinson, Sherry McIver, and Reta Boechler.

The Fortuna Del Ore Golf Course Wednesday Couples League best ball winners were Tigger Schnurer, Chris Fyanes, Brent Campbell, and Jan Campbell. The second place team was Clara Trapnell, Howard Trapnell, Bob Verkerk, and Donna Verkerk with Don Anderson, Lorna Anderson, Ione Apling, and Leonard Apling taking third place.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course the men’s league net winners were Conrad Eisenach, Buddy Hartley, and Blair Steelman. The Gross winners were David Richelderf­er, Jerry Denny, and Frank Russell.

The team winners were Joe Van Aeist, Gary Siegford, Bob Lecorchick, and Howard Pickerill.

The Fortuna Del Ore Golf Course Thursday Ladies League winners were Phyllis Duffy, Donnis Larson, and Rose Wilson. The second place recipients were Kim Hery, Ann Nicholls, and Joyce Starkey with Brenda Morden, Judy Zehrung, Lois Dickey, and Shirley Couse taking third place.

The gross flight winners in the Cocopah Ladies Club play on Wednesday morning were Gwen Failler, Cindy Joel, Judith Anderson, Denice Heblich, Nina Nyman, Diana Carmen, Donna Stinson, Denise Bona, Evalyn Plumb, and Karen Otto. The net flight winners were Mary Card, Kathy Schmidt, Deb Smith, Cathy Lockwood, Gloria Michalenko, Sharon Duncan, Joann Moret, Becky Hazen, Judy Eichman, and Claudia Schieve.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course the women’s League gross winners were Dawn Diamond, Sheila Vickie, and Steelman Susan Clarke. The net winners were Sheila Rowbottom, Elaine Corbet, and Dona Wagner.

The team winners were Edna Hammack, Laurie Russell, Linda Nelson, and Lora Lee Whelan.

Sandra Lee was the top winner in the “Pinky’s Pick” mixed play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday morning. Second place went to Garry Sletten with Mike Miokkola in third and Sandra Blair was the fourth place winner. Ann Weber, Sam Samples, Henry Browning and Pam Herring were the remaining winners.

The skin winners were Wayne Webb, Sandra Lee, Cheryl Mikkola, Jack Parker, Henry Browning, and Sandra Blair.

At the Las Barrancas Golf Course the Thusday men’s league gross winners were Carl Fritz, Lauren Young, and Frank Russell. The net winners were Bryan Boechler, Al Smith, and Calvin Vogelsang.

The team winners were Hubert Gartner, Marcel Zurcher, Ed Gish, and Rick McConnell. Hole in one congratula­tion to Dave Scribner, Gary Austin, Jerry Reilly and Dorothy Gartner.

Joyce Martin was the winner of the ladies first flight of the “Dis and Dat” play on Monday morning at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course. Joan Webb, Terri Paden and Lynn Barber were tied for second place in the first flight. The remaining flight winners were Ardean Ouellette, Betty Szmyrko and Muriel Scott.

At the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course the Monday men’s league gross winners were David Richelderf­er, Rex Woodhouse, and Dave Fritz. The net winners were Ken Sack, Keith Bigelow, and Palmer Hundtoft. The team winners were Tom Mix, Al Smith, Jack Costello,and Ron Hockins.

At the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course the Tuesday women’s gross winners were Loretta Schneider, Dona Laidlaw, and Sherry Sack. The net winner’s were Jeannie Baker, Lynn Ames, and Irene Davis. The team winner’s were Wilma George, Sharon Dice, Madeline Witt, and Trudy Ault.

Cheryl Mikkola and Audrey Dowd were tied for first place in the first flight of the of the Mesa Del Sol Ladies Quota and beat the pro and skins game play on Thursday morning. The remaining flight winners were Sandy Lee, Nancy Holmes, Ann Webber, Dona Conzelman, Delores McMillan and Sally Manley.

The ladies that beat Paul White’s score of even par were Delores McMillan, Sandy Lee, Cheryl Mikkola, Audrey Dowd, Donna Lalonde, Dona Conzelman, Ann Weber, Nancy Holmes, Judy Larden, Linda Scott, Lynne Barbe, Joan Webb, Sandy Blair, Phyllis Mashburn, Bev Morgan, and Sally Manley.
