Deb and Howie Blakney teamed with David Sigurdson and Frank Scarfo for a scrambling gross score of 7-under-par 65 to win the gross division of “Willies Couples” play at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course last Sunday afternoon. Linda and Peter King, Darla Peterson and Sandra Lee won the net division with a 62.
On Monday at the Par 3 Golf Course, the men’s club gross score winners were Bill Taylor, Darryl Dupuis and Frank Kehler. The net score winners were Bruce Chatwell, Jerry Greene and Gary Dain. The team winners were Rollie Harris, Jeannot Levesque, Dirk Gleysteen and Jim Fly.
Raymond Butler teamed with Ron Cherry, Curt Pederson and Albert Johnson for 83 pro power points to win the Can/ Am weekly play at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Monday morning. Second place went to the team of Sam Boyd, Clifford Weber, Hugh Strain and Tip Johnson with 81 pro power points. The thirdplace finishers were Ron Breault, Roger Leblanc, Don Kruse and Garry Sletten with 79 pro power team points. The deuce pot winners were Sam Boyd, Gordon Little, Mike Mikkola, Ken McNeal, Raymond Butler, David Burtt and Dick Michael. The KP winners were Ken McNeal and David Burtt.
On Tuesday at the Par 3 Golf Course, the women’s league gross winners were Loretta Schneider, Alice Macht and Sherry Sack. The net score winners were Linda Wilder, June Garcia and Marlene Plumley. The team winners were Pat Marquardt, Elaine Corbet, Pearl Shreve and Irene Davis.
Trish Steffey won the Desert Hills Ladies “Ace of the Month” play on Tuesday morning, while Donna Lalonde won the first flight gross division and Diane Peters won the first flight net division. In the second flight, Kathy Lauer won the gross division and Karen Hitchens won the net division. The KP winners were Trish Steffey, Daphne Stone, Donna Lalonde and Heather Comeau.
On Tuesday at Las Barrancas Golf Course, the men’s league gross winners were Keith Planidin, Steve Gartner and Lauren Young. The net winners were Carl Riggs, Ray Johnson and Larry Garrett. The team winners were Butch Ritten, Howie Branch, Richard Hallack and BJ McKay.
Tom Mcintire, Evelyn Pribble, Jack Schenck and Maxine Gatti were the winning team in the weekly Moose Lodge Golf League play at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Tuesday morning with a scrambling gross score of 7-under-par 65. Second place went to the team of Rusty Wies, Bill Johnson, Donna Morris and Knute Hammer with a gross score of 67.
On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the men’s league gross winners were Frank Russell, Blair Steelman and Mark Parks. The net winners were Al Pittman, Dave Aaberg and Ken Kingston. The team winners were Dennis Wagner, Chuck McNeill, Ben Ruybal and Jim Hartley.
Sam Samples was the top winner in the “Pinky’s Pick” play at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Wednesday morning with a best ball gross score plus a best ball net score of 132. Second place went to Garry Sletten with a score of 133. The remaining winners were Bill Dowding, Bob Blair, Sandra Lee and Marilyn Cotter. The skin winners were Gerald Larrabee, Mike Mikkola, Bob Rehn, Bob Blair and Sam Samples.
On Wednesday at Las Barrancas Golf Course, the women’s league gross score winners were Patsy Mosley, Terry Bennett and Dawn Diamond. The net score winners were Connie Brown, Laurie Russell and Linda Murphy.
Ray Butler, Wayne Gunion, Dennis Powell and Ken McNeal were the winning team in the “Krogman Follies” weekly play at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Tuesday morning with 82 team pro points. Second place went to the team of Frank Manson, David Burtt and Reg Marshall with 77 pro power team points.
On Thursday at Las Barrancas Golf Course, the men’s league gross winners were Keith Planidin, Carl Fritz and Brian Healy. The net score winners were Phil Smith, Larry Garrett and Rich Ellis. The team winners were Dale Constantinoff, Ray Hillier, Rollie Harris and Gerald George.
In the Mesa Del Sol Men’s Wednesday Twilight League play, Brandon Cushman and John Hodges shot a net scramble score of 31 to win a scorecard playoff over Mike St. Claire and Bill Dowding. Three teams finished tied at 32. This Wednesday’s play will be a two-man net combined total format with play beginning at 4:45 p.m.
On Thursday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the women’s league gross score winners were Susan Clarke and Dawn Diamond. The net score winners were Laurie Russell and Marilee Norris.
Hole-in-one congratulations go out to Lauren Young for his ace on the 12th hole at Las Barrancas Golf Course.
The annual Hospice Golf Scramble will be played Friday and Saturday at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course and the Yuma Golf and Country Club. The player and guest check in, putting contest and pairing party will be Thursday at the Country Club.
