Making life better

- Rev. Paul Killingsworth

Life is better continuously when you… • Make the opportunity to laugh. “A cheerful heart is good medicine,” Proverbs 17:12.

• Give to those who can’t repay.

“He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he does,” Proverbs 19:17.

• Forgive those who need it.

“Forgive and you will be forgiven,” Luke 6:37.

A promise made by Jesus who has all authority, given him by His Father, God.

• Have friends, new and trusted.

“A friend will love you no matter what,” Proverbs 17:17.

• Make stepping stones out of stumbling blocks.

Paul, the respected and trusted teacher for 2,000 years said, “I know what it means to lack, and I know what it is to experience over-whelming abundance. I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether full or hungry,” Philippians 4:12.

• Trust what can be trusted

Wisdom is illustrated in the pattern of Psalm 121: 1-3.

“I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize our true help and protection come only from the Lord, our creator who made the heavens and the earth. He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall. God is my keeper; He will never forget or ignore me.”

The Rev. Paul Killingsworth serves as pastor at Yuma First Assembly.
