During the week of April 29 to May 5, the Yuma Fire Department responded to 297 emergency calls for service, including:
• 13 General Fire Response
Including: An oven fire and various alarms.
• 3 Mutual Aid
Including: Called to assist Rural Metro with 3 medical emergencies in the county.
• 20 Motor Vehicle Crashes
Including: 2 involving rollovers, 1 involving an ATV (2 juveniles without helmets, both injured), 2 involving 3 vehicles, and 1 involving a fence.
• 242 Other Medical Emergencies (serious to minor)
Including: 32 for difficulty breathing, 24 for chest pain, 24 for falls, 17 for unconscious people, 14 seizure cases, 8 possible stroke cases, 2 for intoxicated persons, 2 for persons under the influence of drugs, 2 for drug overdoses, 21 for people with psychiatric problems, 2 for dehydration, 2 for medical alarms, 4 for children locked in vehicles, 2 for allergic reactions, 14 for altered or decreased level of consciousness, 2 for fevers, 10 for diabetic emergencies, 1 for a dog bite, 1 for an unknown bug bite, 3 for man down calls, 5 for bad headaches, 1 for an assault, 3 for back pain, 7 for abdominal pain, 1 pregnancy related, 1 for a deceased person, 6 for lacerations, 1 for a sports related injury, and other illnesses and injuries.

Including: 1 for a power line down, 1 for a blown power transformer, 1 for arcing power lines, 1 for a fire in an apartment A/C unit, 1 for a fire in the fire pit of a vacant house, and various alarms.
