All to blame when it comes to school shootings

-

When it comes to the latest Texas school shootings, don’t think that homes that are divided and those behind the motion picture and video industry aren’t the main culprits behind what is taking place.

You take a home where both the parents are working and the children are being left on their own to raise themselves. The babysitter becomes the violent films children are being allowed to view along with these video games that they are addicted to. Killing in conjunction with the video industry has been made to appear as being little more than a sport, where young people have become so desensitized to it all. Don’t think that they don’t begin to wonder as to what it would be like to actually kill another human being.

With all the young people out there today who are feeling they’ve been passed by and unloved, they don’t care if they die in their attempt to take the lives of others. They in fact see themselves as heroes who will be handed worldwide recognition by a news media that can’t wait to jump on such stories.

Far too many parents today have created monsters who will be our future leaders. Leaders of a world gone astray to which we will be left with little hope.

In regards to every one of these incidents we hear about taking place, I get sick of the questions being asked by the network reporters. Questions such as: Why did they do this? What was the cause of it all? And what can we do to prevent it?

It’s simple, I say. If we return to what a home was meant to be, follow the teachings of Christ, and put aside one’s desires for all the materialism being thrown at us daily.

It was recently stated in a nationwide survey that most Americans today think more of the automobiles they drive than they do of their family members. What does this tell you, I ask?

Who’s to blame, you ask? Know that we are all to blame being we allowed it to happen. It’s as simple as that. JIMMY LUHM Yuma
