Work slated for Gila Ridge Road

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers in Yuma to plan for pavement-improvement work on Gila Ridge Road beginning Monday. Delays are likely, so motorists should consider alternate routes and allow plenty of extra travel time.

Work is scheduled to occur between Avenue 4E and Araby Road from 5 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The following restrictions will be in place while work is underway:

• South Gila Ridge Road will be reduced to one lane between Avenue 4E and Araby Road with flaggers on site to direct motorists through the work zone.

• A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

• The turn lane into the truck parking at the Love’s gas station on Avenue 3E will be closed from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday for patch repair.

Drivers are asked to use caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around construction personnel equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at (855) 712-8530 or email projects@azdot.gov.
