Jose Jesus Ortega, 65, of Yuma, died June 22, 2018, in Yuma.

Born July 10, 1952, in Guisamopa, Sonora, Mexico, he was retired from Keithly-Williams Seeds.

A wake will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Desert Valley Mortuary Chapel, with rosary at 7 p.m. Deacon Ernesto Jaramillo will officiate. Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, with Father Bartolome Vasquez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Vista Cemetery, with Deacon Tony Gomez officiating.

Gilberto Almanza

Gilberto Almanza, 83, of Yuma, died June 20, 2018, at Desert Haven in Phoenix.

Born Feb. 12, 1935, in El Paso, Texas, he was an aircraft assembler.

A viewing will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Yuma Mortuary Chapel, with rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church.

Arlene Covington

Arlene Covington, 85, of Yuma, died June 24, 2018, at River Valley Estates Senior Living.

Born April 24, 1933, in St. Cloud, Minn., she was a retired registered nurse.

Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.

Desert Valley Mortuary is handling local arrangements, including private cremation.
