Bob Lauer teamed with Madine Gatti and Ken Sparks for a scrambling score of 33 to win the weekly Moose Lodge play on Tuesday morning at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course. Two teams tied for second place at even par and the two teams were Jimmy Billisback, Bud Hammond and Jerry Klinger, and Frank Domantay, Chuck Holland, Bob Ewers and Rick Parks. The KP winners were Skip Moorhouse and Diane Bird.

The next Desert Hills Men’s Golf Associatio­n tournament will be played July 14 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament format will be a two-man modified chapman system with a team handicap of 14 and a maximum spread of 20 strokes. Tami Harmon posted 4.97 quota points to win first place in the Mesa Del Sol Mixed quota play on Monday morning with Jack Parker taking second place with 4.46 points. Robert Lauer finished third, Steve Parish fourth and Cheyenne Schultz fifth. The skin winners were Jack Parker, Garrett McKeeman, Steve Parrish, Ray Butler, Tami Harmon, George Christophe­r, Hank Browning, Garrett McKeeman, Ray Butler, Bob Blair and Sandy Blair.

Lola Stone and Sue Janney tied with Tami Harmon and Trish Steffey for first place low net in the Desert Hills Ladies blind draw play at the Desert Hills Golf Course on Tuesday morning. Third place went to Gloria Gentry and Diane Comeau. The KP winners were Lola Stone, Gloria Gentry and Sue Janney.

In the Mesa Del Sol Men’s Wednesday Twilight League play, Robert Clayton won the individual net format with a 33. Fred Blohm, Denney McKay and Dave Hodgin tied for second with a 34. In the Spring Points Race, Fred Blohm took first in the final standings. Denny McKay was second, Jerry Crump was third, Jon Green was fourth and Mike Daily was fifth. Bob Rehn was the top winner in the “Pinky’s Pick” mixed play on Wednesday morning at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course; Dave Givens took second and Garry Sletten took third. Sandra Blair, Hank Browning, Jack Parker, Raymond Butler and Blas Pedrero were the remaining five winners. The skin winners were David Givens, Hank Browning, Jack Parker, Raymond Butler, Garry Sletten and Lee Laabs.

In the Mesa Del Sol Friday Twilight League, net best ball, Sam Humer won with a score of 29 and a blind draw partner. Bart Owens and Phil Porter were second at 30. Justice and Marc Myers won third place at 31.

The twilight mixed league at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course will resume play on July 19. The events will be two-person net formats with individual skins games, closest to the pin and long drive contests. Events are open to women and men. Cost is $30 per player and includes bar snacks after play. Play begins at 5 p.m.

In the Crazy Earl’s Golf Bar Games, Tiffany Humer won a pool ball, lag playoff, after Sam Humer made 10 out of 10 bar putts to create the team playoff. The Humers teamed with Marlene and Gary Golembiski. The events included a nine hole scramble, nine ball rack pool shoot, darts, corn holes and the bar putting. Everyone took home a prize.

Bob Lauer shot a gross score of 78 to win the Mesa Del Sol MGA mixed red, white and blue play on Friday morning. Jack Parker was the net division winner with a score of 66 with Ray Butler winning second net. George Christophe­r was the third place net finisher with Roger Brown taking fourth place in the net division. The skin winners were Jack Parker, Ray Butler, Bill Dowding, Hank Browning, Bob Rehn and Don Kruse.
