STEDY has new home in Yuma

Joins AWC offices off Redondo Drive

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma (STEDY) has moved its district office to 899 E. Plaza Circle, Yuma.

The office opened July 2 and is located in the same complex as the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation and Shadle and Sanchez, Realty Investments, near Home Depot to the north and the Arizona Western College Downtown Center to the south just off of Redondo Drive.

The new facility provides STEDY with a new governing board room, eight classrooms and labs, administrative offices and room for professional development and community events.

STEDY, a career and technical education (CTE) high school, is the newest public school district in Yuma County. The district serves all high school students enrolled in public, private, and charter schools, as well as homeschooled students, providing them with educational experiences that lead to an industry recognized certification.

As a career and technology public school district, the district works closely with the Arizona Department of Education. All courses offered by STEDY are approved by the Career and Technical Education Division (CTE) of the Arizona Department of Education.

Students enrolled in a STEDY program earn high school credit, industry certifications, and/or a state license, and in some cases may earn college credit.
