Man arrested after drugs, gun found in home
YCSO: Stash includes methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and narcotic pills
A 31-year-old man was arrested Friday morning by members of the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force (YCNTF) after a search warrant served at his residence led to the discovery of drugs, pills and a weapon, authorties said.
According to information provided by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the search warrant was executed at 6:35 a.m. at a residence in the 800 block of West 20th Place in Yuma.
When YCNTF members searched the house, with assistance from YCSO K-9 Jax, they found approximately 430 grams of methamphetamine; 10 grams of cocaine; 7.4 grams of marijuana; 16 narcotic pills; additional paraphernalia items indicative of street sales; and a loaded handgun. The narcotics seized had a combined estimated street value of $9,422.
The suspect of the search warrant, Julio Enriquez, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County jail on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor, possession of a weapon during a drug offense.
Other charges include two counts of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, two counts of possession of a narcotic drug, using a building for the sale of a dangerous drug, and fortification of a building for sales of a dangerous drug.
The YCNTF is a multi-agency task force comprised of officers and agents from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the Yuma Police Department, the U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations.
