Readers who drive on South Frontage Road between Fortunate Road and Foothills Boulevard might have noticed that extensive work is being done to the former PrimeCare Urgent Care and Yuma Regional Medical Center Diagnostic Imaging Foothills building.

It is being readied for an Oct. 30 opening as Yuma Regional Medical Center Primary Care – Foothills, 11142 S. Scottsdale Drive. The facility will offer walk-in care, primary care, imaging and lab services.

Children are invited to celebrate the clinic’s opening by attending a free Teddy Bear Clinic on Saturday, Dec. 1. The fun event will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Kids can bring in their own teddy bear for a checkup or come and meet a new furry friend to take home.
