Overnight lane closures on Araby begin Monday
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight lane closures on Araby Road (State Route 195) beginning Monday at 10 p.m.
Contractors are scheduled to sand-blast and paint an Interstate 8 barrier wall located above Araby Road. The following overnight closures are scheduled to take place:
• The southbound lane on Araby Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
• The southbound lane on Araby Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.
•The northbound lane on Araby Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.
The northbound lane on Araby Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.
Delays are likely, so travelers should allow extra travel time. Alternate routes include Avenue 8 1/2 E, Avenue 3E and 32nd Street.
Drivers should slow down, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
