During the week of Nov. 4-10, The Yuma Fire Department responded to 306 emergency calls for service, including:
• 15 General Fire Response
Including: A couch on fire outside a house, a gas leak at a residential meter, 1 for smoke in the area, 1 for a backyard debris fire, a cooking fire, a fire in a vacant motel, and various alarms.
• 1 Mutual Aid
Including: Called to assist Rural Metro with a medical emergency in the Foothills.
• 24 Motor Vehicle Crashes
Including: 2 involving pedestrians, and 1 involving 3 vehicles.
• 241 Other Medical Emergencies (serious to minor)
Including: 26 for difficulty breathing, 21 for chest pain, 25 for falls, 8 for unconscious people, 9 seizure cases, 1 possible stroke case, 4 for intoxicated persons, 3 for people under the influence of drugs, 4 for drug overdoses, 22 for people with psychiatric problems, 5 for medical alarms, 1 for child locked in vehicle, 2 for choking, 12 for altered or decreased level of consciousness, 2 for fevers, 2 for broken bones, 8 for diabetic emergency, 3 for man down calls, 1 for bad headaches, 1 for a gunshot wound, 1 for a 2 year old who ingested medications, 5 for assaults, 4 for back pain, 10 for abdominal pain, 1 pregnancy related, 1 for deceased person, 1 sports related injury, and other illnesses and injuries.

Including: 3 for illegal trash fires, 1 for smoke in the area, 2 for yard fires, 2 for power lines down, 1 for a smoking electrical box, 2 for small brush fires, 1 for a person stuck in an elevator, 1 for a vehicle fire, and various alarms.
