Rita and John Droog teamed with Shirley and Rob Rutledge for a team score of 61 to win the gross division of Willies Couples Play last Sunday afternoon. The net division of Willies Couples play was won by the team of Terry and Darrel Hunt and Anne and Roger Rieger with a team score of 56.1.

In The Mesa Del Sol Golf Course Can/Am weekly three net best ball play on Monday morning, Ken King, Ron Stirler, Marty Schwab and Garry Sletten posted 85 pro points to win first place. The team of Bill Dowding, Jake Fehr, Bob Rehn and Jim Pederson finished in second place with 81 points. Tony Kossey was the KP winner on the fifth hole and Hugh Strain was the KP winner on the 13th hole. The Deuce Pot winners were Tony Kosey, Jake Fehr, Garry Davidson, Ron Breault, Steve Parrish, Ron Stirler, Marty Schwab and Hugh Strain.

On Monday at the Foothills Par 3 Golf Course, the men’s league gross score winners were David Richelderf­er, Dave Fritz and Darryl Dupuis. The net score winners were Charlie Bubar, Gilbert Valle and Greg Leyva. The team winners were Dave Tauber, Tom Cooper, Jim Carter and Butch Robideau.

In the Mesa Del Sol Monday ladies “Dis and Dat” play, Selma Cusick and Linda Scott tied for first place in the first flight. In the second flight, Iris Pallas won while Marilyn Cotter and Jo-Anne Lambert tied for second. In the third flight, Judy Larden won while Eddie Medina and Zelinda Little tied for second place. In the fourth flight, Ruth Koenig was the winner with Dona Conzelman in second place.

On Tuesday at the Par 3 Golf Course, the women’s league gross score winners were Loretta Schneider, Jackie Campbell and Suzanne Hammons. The net score winners were Georgia Juarez, Jackie Barham and Elaine Corbit. The team winners were Angela Ritter, June Garcia, Janie Johnson and Lynn Ames.

Donna Lalonde was the Ace of the Month winner in the Desert Hills Ladies Play on Tuesday morning. Cathy Francis won the first flight with Heather Comeau in second place. In the second flight, Cindy Apolzer was the winner with Linda Scott in second. The KP winners were Carol Hindle, Sun Douthit, Cathy Francis and Sue Janney. The Honey Pot winners were Donna Lalonde, Barb Dixson, Cindy Apolzer, Wendy Cyrenne, Cathy Francis, Linda Scott, Trish Steffey, Sue Janney, Carol Hindle and Sun Douthit.

At the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the Silver League gross score winners were Keith Planidin, Steve Gartner and B.J. McKay. The net score winners were Jerry Denny, Dave Forrest and Doug Mendel. The team winners were Ray Morris, Don Flint, Wayne Fisher and Lauran Snyder.

Bob Blair was the first-place winner in the Mesa Del Sol “Pinky’s Pick” mixed play on Wednesday morning followed by Marilyn Cotter in second, Tim Segrest in third, Gary Whitcomb in fourth and Hank Browning and Steve Parrish tied for fifth.

Richard Golder teamed with Greg Edwards and Donna Brown for a team score of 66 to win the Moose Lodge play at the Mesa Del Sol Golf Course on Tuesday morning. Second place went to the team of Tom McIntire, Chuck Holland, Jerry Klinger and Doldres Vrooman with a team score of 69. Third place went to the team of Randy Stickles, Jim Shepley and Carh Prickett.

On Wednesday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the Women’s League gross score winners were Marilyn Denny and Loretta Schneider. The net score winners were Sharon Burkin and Myrna Hammermeis­ter. The team winners were Laurie Russell, Terry Bennett, Sherry McIver and Dawn Diamond.

Ray Butler teamed with Norm Berube, Lynn Thompson and Dale Smith for a team score of 85 to win first place in the Krogman Follies weekly play on Wednesday morning. Second place went to the team of Bert Scott, Bob Rehn, Marty Schwab and Art Scott. The third-place finishers were Gale Mabey, Bill Griffith, Ron Breault and Terry Matthews.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course on Tuesday morning, the men’s club winners were Jerry Heafey, Phil Rose, Ron Erickson and Gord Deitz. Second place went to the team of Brent Campbell, Jimmy Stewart, Ken Schulz and Jim MacDonald. Third place went to the team of David McLane, Larry Kleinwolte­rink, Tom Twells and Howard Trapnell.

On Wednesday at the Foothills Executive Golf Course, the Men’s League gross score winners were Dave Fritz, Hubert Gartner and Bert Kohlman. The net score winners were Howard Pickerill, Conrad Eisenach and Dennis Phillips. The team winners were Dave Aaberg, Butch Robideau, Ray Morris and Mike Bowen.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course on Wednesday morning, the Mixed Doubles winners were Lyn Gillies, Dave Gillies, Pat Ginther and Lynn Ginther. Second place went to Tigger Schneurer, Manna Mason, Kraig Knutson and Laura Newhook. Third place went to Greg Schaaf, Vergie Schaaf, Howard Trapnell and Clara Trapnell.

At the Fortuna De Oro Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon, the Mixed Doubles winners were David Holley, Lisa Holley, Jeff Van Haastregt and Carol Lemley. Second place went to Pete Shaw Dorothy Shaw, Gary Gonzalez and Cindy Gonzalez. Third place went to Donna Burnside, Kevin Burnside, Cliff Couse and Shirley Couse.

On Thursday at the Las Barrancas Golf Course, the Copper League gross score winners were Steve Gartner and B.J. McKay. The net score winners were Lorne Constantin­off and Al Pittman. The team winners were Larry Garrett, Frank Russell, Don Mathews and John Cullen.

At the Fortuna Del Oro Golf Course on Thursday morning the Ladies Club winners were, Fay McEachern, Barbara Spilchuk and Dona Williams. Second place went to Joyce Starkey, Teresa Gordon and Jackie Stucky.

The Mesa del Sol Golf Course will host the 10th Annual Military Free Fall School Golf Tournament on March 9. The format is a four-person scramble. Proceeds will benefit the Special Operation Warrior Foundation supporting college scholarshi­ps to surviving children of fallen Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine special operationa­l personnel killed in combat or training. The entry fee is $320 per team. Entry forms are available in the golf shop and players may contact Todd Greene at 580-4108 for additional informatio­n.

The next Desert Hills Men’s Golf Associatio­n Tournament will be played on March 2 and will be an individual gross and net format. Tee times will start at 8 a.m. and members may contact Bruce Clark or the pro shop for entry or additional informatio­n.

Mike Mikkola and Wayne Web were the gross division winners in the Mesa Del Sol MGA Modified two-man Chapman play on Friday morning. Bill Dowding and Reg Marshal were the net division champions followed by Dale Smith and Jerry Olson in second, Marty Schwab and Larry Wolcott in third, and Art Brekkas and Garry Davidson in fourth. The skin winners were Ron Breault, Lawerance Colao, Bill Dowding, Larry Kossey, Gale Mabey and Mike Mikkola.
